Natural Coloured Diamonds

coloured-diamonds-v3coloured-diamonds-v3coloured-diamonds-v4

In the past 10-20 years there has been an insatiable demand for natural coloured diamonds. Certain colours are incredibly popular and the colours in high demand do change over time. At this precise moment pinks, blues and greens are very popular.

A coloured diamonds price is based on the same structure as a white diamond but because there are less of each natural coloured diamond available in the world in its raw state than a white diamond, this means that they fetch a higher price.

The Coloured diamonds that we always wish to purchase are those on a GIA certificate, as they are very accurate as to what they are. A GIA coloured diamond certificate will tell us certain key factors such as;
1) The weight, 2) The purity, 3) The shape, 4) The cut, 5) The intensity of the colour of the coloured diamond, 6) The colour distribution to ascertain if the colour of the diamond is consistent throughout all of the diamond.

GIA Certificate

Natural coloured diamonds that we wish to purchase include: 1. Pink, 2. Blue, 3. Red, 4. Green, 5. Yellow, 6. Orange, 7. Purple, 8. Champagne

Kimberly Certified Rough Diamonds

Kimberly Dimaond CertificateLoose Diamonds

Why Choose Us

In our industry all bonafide diamond dealers and traders all understand a polished diamond.
When it comes to assessing and understanding a rough diamond we are able to offer the facilities in our North London Diamond office with our former DeBeers trained rough diamond expert to work out exactly the price on any rough diamond brought into us.

For this to happen, we prefer:
1. You visiting our office.
2. We need to see the Kimberley certificate
3. We will weigh the whole parcel in front of you.
4. We will individually weigh each diamond above 0.50ct. (Diamonds of this weight and above is preferred only).
5. We will then grade each diamond for colour and purity.
6. We will check for fluorescence.
7. We will then work out what the whole parcel is worth and give you our maximum offer based on current market rough diamond prices.
8. We can then put each diamond into a machine which will tell us what each diamond will end up at once it has been polished.
9. We can buy the parcel from you, or you can pay us for polishing each diamond. We can also certificate each diamond for you too.
For any of the above, it is best if you make an appointment to come into us as grading rough diamonds is a longer process than grading polished diamonds.

Sell Loose Diamonds

Loose DiamondsLoose DiamondsLoose Diamonds

Why Choose Us

We can use and will purchase every loose diamond sent into us. We can probably pay more than any of our competitors because we are also manufacturing jewellers of 40 years standing. We have 3 sister companies which all use diamonds. So we never have enough diamonds.
1. www.diamond-bracelets.co.uk, 2. www.howweddingrings.co.uk, 3. www.jewellerycave.co.uk

How We Assess Your Diamonds

When your loose diamonds arrive in our diamond buying office we always follow a strict procedure which include:
1. Weigh them in on our diamond scales, to confirm the actual weight tallies with yours.
2. Put them through our ultrasonic to get all the natural grease and dirt that may have built up on them.
3. Now make sure there are no CZ or synthetic diamonds, no chipped diamonds , that may have accidentally got mixed up in the parcel.
4. Split into different diamond shapes.
5. Split into different diamond sizes.
6. Split into different diamond colours.
7. Split into different diamond purities.

Once the 7 above stages has been carried out by our fully trained in-house gemologists, we can then evaluate each diamond batch type of what you have sent in and then evaluate the current market price we can pay you for your whole loose diamond parcel.

This same process is followed out if it is from 1diamond to 1000. There are no short cuts as each diamond is different to the next, and for us to do our job properly for ourselves and for doing justice to your goods we always follow the same process.

The whole above process we can normally sort out within the day of arrival and if there is so much to do we will phone you and give you an update to say your goods have arrived. If not processed on the same day it will be by the next day.
Besides buying loose diamonds from any individual we buy on a daily basis from jewellers and diamond dealers in UK and Europe and are happy to purchase as much is being supplied to us.

What types of diamonds do we buy?
Most diamonds offered to us are modern cut diamonds, which are brilliant cut diamonds, polished from post Second World War. We are always happy to purchase Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian cut diamonds, in any shape, size or carat weight.

What shape diamonds do we buy?

Why Choose Us

Nearly all jewellery produced, plus polished diamonds up until the late 1970s were produced and sold without diamond certificates from GIA, HRD, EGL and IGI to name but a few famous diamond certification houses.

Diamond certificates in fact are a relatively new phenomena which have quite rightly emerged over the last 30 years enabling everyone to exactly know the weight, colour, purity and cut of each diamond.

We have the in house experience of fully trained Gemologists enabling us to grade any diamond put in front of us and being as accurate on our grading as GIA New York. We can put the correct market price on any diamond from £10 to £1m.
HowCashForDiamonds.co.uk are members of GIA, HRD and full members of the British Jewellers Association. We are also members of the trades diamond global inventory system Rapnet. Being a full member of these organisations, we are able to see the exact current market price of a like for like diamond that you have sent us. Enabling us to pay you the maximum price the market allows. We have all in house equipment to test for colour, purity, weight and fluorescence of your diamonds.

That is why we are more than happy to purchase any diamonds loose or in jewellery which are uncertified and without a diamond certificate.
We will purchase any uncertified Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian, or diamond from 1950s onwards to today in any shape, purity, cut, colour and carat weight without a certificate.

If you have a diamond which has no certificate and you feel it is worthy of certification, we are able to offer you the facility of certificating your diamond via us sending it on your behalf to GIA in USA or to HRD in Antwerp as we are full members of both these certificating houses. Once this has been done then your diamond would certainly be worth more with a current certificate. This whole process can be from 1 – 4 weeks.

Certified Diamonds

GIA-certHRD-openEGL-open

Why Choose Us
We are always extremely happy to purchase any diamond on the above certificates and we probably pay the most in the industry for two reasons.

We continue to welcome clients for any certificated diamond from all parts of the globe inclusive of Europe, USA, Middle East, India, The Far East and obviously the UK. No diamond is too large for us to purchase. To date the largest single diamond we purchased in our North London Diamond office was in excess of £1m.

In addition, We always need diamonds for our own individual clients who may be getting engaged or may want solitaire pendants or may want solitaire diamond earrings or may just want to invest in a certificated diamond.

It is recognised in our diamond industry that the best diamond certificate to have is a GIA certificated diamond, as this is the most accurate certificate within the industry hence if you are selling your Certificated diamond, it’s resell value will be highest if it’s on a GIA certificate which our company are members of.

To make the process even easier for you and to speed the whole process up you can email, telephone, live chat with us or just come into our North London Diamond office and tell us your certificate number. We can locate your actual diamond on our computer with the certificate number you provide us with and then we will be able to make you an instant offer for your certificated diamond.

How We Assess Your Diamonds

When your certificated diamond is with us, the first thing we will do is to make sure it matches your certificate, we will:

1. Make sure the diameter of your diamond matches the certificate
2. Make sure the colour matches stated on the certificate.
3. Make sure the purity of your diamond matches the certificate
4. Make sure the weight matches the certificate .
If all the above is in order then we will give you our maximum best price, based on the current market price of your diamond.

Diamond Engagement Rings

Emerald Diamond RingLarge 3 Stone Diamond RingDiamond Stud Earrings

Why Choose Us

The most common diamond purchase we make is from a solitaire diamond engagement ring. Our chief diamond in house gemmologist Jonathan Williams has over 40 year’s experience and is a third generation diamond dealer and manufacturing jeweller. We are happy to purchase your diamond engagement ring with or without a certificate. Having a certificate slightly improves the price we offer especially if the certificate is of GIA origin.
If no certificates are available and your engagement ring is in our Diamond office, we can work out the 4c’s of your diamond.

Once we have done this analysis of your diamond, we will then evaluate it on current diamond market prices and then we will phone you with our maximum price we can pay for your diamonds and for the precious metal it is set in. We are happy to purchase your engagement ring even if it is not a solitaire engagement ring as we will purchase any engagement ring.
